We cannot be held liable for any damaged to the cake or products we have delivered once we have delivered or delivered and set up the cake at a venue or location. We will require a signature for the safe receipt of the goods on our cake information sheet.
If the cake or prodycts are collected from us, we cannot be held liable for any damaged to the cake or products once they have left our premises. The responsibility lies with the buyer. Cakes and products are very fragile and we advise driving solely and carefully.
Delivery times are approximate. We will always endeavour to deliver the cake to you as close as possible to the given delivery time but we’re unable to take liability for any delays out of our control.
Storage and display of cakes
Cakes and goods should be stored in the box provided in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight. When cakes and goods are delivered and set up – if they are placed outside they are likely to react to the temperature. In hot or humid weather there is a possibility of sugar decorations melting or damage to good. Cakes are best eaten on the day of delivery. Once cakes have been cut shelf life will be reduced.
Damages and complaints
In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, it is the customer’s responsibility to report the damage as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours. The customer must send photographic evidence and if possible a sample piece of the cake.
The seller accepts no liability for cakes and products that are damaged after they have been collected or delivered to the agreed location.
If the customer is unhappy we would recommend getting in touch straight away, as some issues may be able to rectified straight away. However, once the cake information sheet is signed this confirms that the customer is happy with the decoration of the cake.
If the complaint is in regard to the quality of the cake, then the cake and the remainder of the cake must be returned to us as soon as possible after cutting and within 48 hours of collection / delivery to ensure that we are able to fairly access the nature of the complaint.
